Peer Recovery Support Specialist

The Maine Alliance for Addiction Recovery (MAAR) is seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist for a 20 hour/week position. MAAR is a statewide organization that provides recovery advocacy & education, along with peer recovery support activities.

Responsibilities include: coordination of planning & recruitment for ongoing peer recovery training sessions; completion of training to serve as trainer for peer recovery support models; assist with development of infrastructure to implement Recovery Coach model and Recovery Oriented System of Care

This position is based in Augusta at the MASAP / MAAR offices. Statewide travel is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: Experience with AOD addiction recovery process; Associate’s Degree and previous experience as support group facilitator & trainer. Knowledge re: new recovery advocacy movement & Recovery Oriented Systems of Care are a plus!
