Job Description

This is a 30 hours/week position with benefits.

The Outpatient Addictions Specialist is responsible for evaluating, assessing and ensuring treatment for persons who present with substance-related problems, abuse, or dependence, with or without co-occurring mental health problems. Additionally, these same services are provided to family members or concerned persons for effects of substance misuse problems upon them. These duties include providing evaluation and treatment recommendations; referring to appropriate services; and providing education and counseling to clients, family members, and affected others. Evaluation and treatment may occur within any Division of Behavioral Health Program.

LCSW, LCPC, LADC, CCS or a RN and any of combination of other clinical degrees.

Previous experience in a chemical dependency setting, knowledge of milieu based treatment, comfort working with patients in various stages of change and a working knowledge of medication assisted treatment. Must have strong group facilitation skills and be able to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
