Job Description

Coordinator, Maine Alliance for Addiction Recovery
The Maine Alliance for Addiction Recovery, a statewide organization for recovery advocacy, education and peer recovery support, seeks a Full time Coordinator. Responsibilities include continued development/support for integrated recovery oriented systems; continued development of Maine’s Recovery Communities Coalition; technical assistance to advance peer recovery support services; coordination of recovery events; liaison with Portland Recovery Community Center. Based in Augusta. Statewide travel and occasional nights and weekend work is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, related field or comparable documented experience. Minimum two years successful, progressive experience in program implementation. Experience with staff supervision, outreach, networking and coalition building. Experience/knowledge of addiction as well as an understanding of recovery advocacy and peer recovery support models. Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with culturally diverse populations. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication skills and use of Microsoft Office Suite.
