Membership Levels
Membership in the Maine Association of Substance Abuse Programs is open to agencies incorporated in the State of Maine. MASAP offers two levels of membership.
1. Full membership - Agencies providing substance abuse prevention, treatment or recovery services who are fully licensed by the State of Maine, when applicable (or have deemed status) as a substance abuse prevention or treatment program.
2. Associate membership - a) Agencies who do not provide direct substance use disorder and addictions services but do provide services to individuals and /or families with substance abuse issues; b) Any formalized group or association of agencies interested in substance abuse.
Rights of Full membership include [a] membership in the Association, with one designee or alternate on the MASAP Board of Directors; [b] if elected or appointed, participation as an Officer, Committee Chair and/or on a committee; [c] full voting rights and participation on all MASAP issues; [d] MASAP minutes of all meetings, and (e) MASAP communications, updates and action alerts regarding State and national legislative, activities and initiatives, current practice, and other information regarding the substance abuse field.
Rights of Associate membership include [a] membership in the Association [b] MASAP minutes of all meetings, and (c) MASAP communications, updates and action alerts regarding State and national legislative, activities and initiatives, current practice, and other information regarding the substance abuse field. Associate members do not have voting status but are eligible for Committee membership..
