The Maine Association of Substance Abuse Programs
(MASAP) is recognized by legislators, the Governor's office, other
administrative leaders and other healthcare and behavioral health
entities as the most effective organization in Maine representing
substance abuse prevention, treatment and recovery support programs
and agencies. MASAP's members are viewed as experts in the
field and their input and opinions are highly valued.
Full Membership in MASAP is open to OSA licensed non-profit substance abuse treatment agencies and other organizations interested in the advancement of substance abuse prevention, treatment and recovery.
Associate membership is available to individuals and organizations with an interest in making a positive difference in substance abuse prevention, treatment and recovery services.
Membership in MASAP will provide you, your agency and staff with ongoing

Advocacy - Connections to Maine

Important decisions are made almost every day in Maine that
directly impact the field. MASAP works year round with legislators,
the Office of Substance Abuse, Department of Health and Human Services, and others to shape policy and budget before it is
set. You will receive timely updates during the legislative
session.

Our annual Legislative Event is an important event highlighting
our member agencies at the State House.

Advocacy related to public policy, regulations and legislation at the state and federal levels

Washington Weekly Review: You will receive updates and

Administration are affecting the field through policy and budget.

MASAP, in affiliation with the New
England Institute of Addiction Studies (NEIAS), co-sponsors
a range of opportunities to meet your on-the-job needs. Trainings
are customized to enhance your personal and professional growth
and provided through regional conferences and seminars.
