| Volunteer Today! Are you a person in recovery looking for ways to help others in recovery? Are you looking for volunteer opportunities? Then we may have what you are looking for at the Portland Recovery Community Center. We have many volunteer opportunities available and we are looking for dedicated volunteers to help out at the center. Volunteers are our most valuable resource and an essential ingredient in meeting our mission.

Telephone Recovery Support Volunteer Training Telephone Recovery Support is almost here! This is one of the many volunteer opportunities available at the center. We are looking for volunteers interested in being trained for Telephone Recovery Support to make weekly outreach calls to people in recovery. The training is scheduled for March 14th 9 am-12 PM. TRS helps people in recovery stay in recovery. Sometimes just a phone call can make the recipient feel wanted, included and cared about. When making the call, the caller will often feel rewarded when they have spoken to someone and can share in their joy, share in their sorrow and know that sometimes just listening and speaking with another person helps both of them immensely. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at Portland Recovery Community Center or would like any information about our volunteer opportunities please contact either Nancy Cormier or Peter Preble at 207-553-2575 or just stop by the center to fill out a volunteer application. |
