Maine Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse

MAPSA is a grassroots network created to provide an advocacy voice for substance abuse prevention. Our primary functions are to advocate at the Maine State Legislature and to educate the general public about the need for and benefit of substance abuse prevention activities. In its first year, MAPSA succeeded in securing over $725,000 for prevention services through its advocacy effort.

The mission of the Maine Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse (MAPSA) is to build a unified and statewide voice for substance abuse prevention. With over two hundred individuals and organizations, MAPSA represents service providers and others who have an interest in and commitment to substance abuse prevention.
